Oh My Goodness
Oh my goodness it's been over a week since my last post and I'm not sure where all that time has gone.
I have been really busy planning a trip in May. I have decided to go to the Prim Mart Covention in PA. There will be 35 girls and 1 guy attending this year and the excitement builds more and more everyday.
I love reading other blogs and have seen something on a ton of them that says "Favorite Finds". Well I just love all of them and have to decided that is what I will post today is one of my favorite finds.
I do a lot of craft shows every year and love bartering with other vendors. What this means is if they have something you want then usually they will trade you for something of yours. I have done this at most shows we go to.
I know at one of my show in Hillsville, VA there is a vendor that makes homemade desserts and she loves my soaps so every year we trade off these items. I get my chocolate fix while we are there and she gets fresh handmade soaps.
Anywho, this "Favorite Find" came from a show I had in October in Mt. Airy, NC also know as the town of Mayberry.

New item that will be added to my site soon
I just love this bobbin lamp!! It will come with the shade made out of kraft linen with navy blue borders. This lamp measures 23.5" with the shade on and holds a 40 watt bulb. There will only be 4 of these lamps and I will have them on my site in time for my Grand Re-opening next week.
Until Next Time....

I am not a morning person!
I have never been a morning person and as I have gotten older it has gotten worse. It is 8:37 am here in Greensboro and the temp is around 35 or so and the only reason I am up is I have to be at the doctors office to start physical and shock therapy on my bladder today.
Now shouldn't that just make me want to jump up and get in the shower and head out the down into this freezing weather. Well believe me the it doesn't...........lol
Mini update: The Christmas Tree is still up.

READ THIS VERY SLOWLY.... IT'S PRETTY PROFOUND.
Too many people put off something that brings them joy just because they haven't thought about it, don't have it on their schedule, didn't know it was coming or are too rigid to depart from their routine.
I got to thinking one day about all those women on the Titanic who passed up dessert at dinner that fateful night in an effort to cut back. From then on, I've tried to be a little more flexible.
How many women out there will eat at home because their husband didn't suggest going out to dinner until after something had been thawed? Does the word 'refrigeration' mean nothing to you?
How often have your kids dropped in to talk and sat in silence while you watched 'Jeopardy' on television?
I cannot count the times I called my sister and said, 'How about going to lunch in a half hour?' She would gas up and stammer, 'I can't. I have clothes on the line. My hair is dirty. I wish I had known yesterday, I had a late breakfast, It looks like rain.' And my personal favorite: 'It's Monday.' She died a few years ago. We never did have lunch together.
Because Americans cram so much into their lives, we tend to schedule our headaches. We live on a sparse diet of promises we make to ourselves when all the conditions are perfect!
We'll go back and visit the grandparents when we get Steve toilet-trained. We'll entertain when we replace the living-room carpet.. We'll go on a second honeymoon when we get two more kids out of college..
Life has a way of accelerating as we get older. The days get shorter, and the list of promises to ourselves gets longer. One morning, we awaken, and all we have to show for our lives is a litany of 'I'm going to,' 'I plan on,' and 'Someday, when things are settled down a bit.'
When anyone calls my 'seize the moment' friend, she is open to adventure and available for trips. She keeps an open mind on new ideas. Her enthusiasm for life is contagious. You talk with her for five minutes, and you're ready to trade your bad feet for a pair of Roller blades and skip an elevator for a bungee cord.
My lips have not touched ice cream in 10 years. I love ice cream. It's just that I might as well apply it directly to my stomach with a spatula and eliminate the digestive process The other day, I stopped the car and bought a triple-Decker. If my car had hit an iceberg on the way home, I would have died happy.
Now...go on and have a nice day. Do something you WANT to......not something on your SHOULD DO list. If you were going to die soon and had only one phone call you could make, who would you call and what would you say? And why are you waiting?
Make sure you read this to the end; you will understand why I sent this to you.
Have you ever watched kids playing on a merry go round or listened to the rain lapping on the ground? Ever followed a butter fly's erratic flight or gazed at the sun into the fading night? Do you run through each day on the fly? When you ask ' How are you?' Do you hear the reply?
When the day is done, do you lie in your bed with the next hundred chores running through your head? Ever told your child, 'We'll do it tomorrow.' And in your haste, not see his sorrow? Ever lost touch? Let a good friendship die? Just call to say 'Hi?
When you worry and hurry through your day, it is like an unopened gift....Thrown away.... Life is not a race Take it slower. Hear the music before the song is over.
It's National Friendship Week. Show your friends how much you care. Send this to everyone you consider a FRIEND.
To those I have sent this to... I cherish our friendship and love and appreciate all you do.
"Life may not be the party we hoped for.... but while we are here we might as well dance!"

Hasn't been much going on this week
Well it's Friday once again and I haven't really done much of anything this week.
I sent my resume out to tons of places this week, with no replies yet. I gave my doggie a hair cut today. Oh and let me just ad this much, if you have never cut your dogs hair, you may not want to attempt it. Misty's hair look alright, but I have to wait and see what Scott thinks when he gets home tonight.
I can already here him now saying to Misty, "oh you poor puppy, what has your mommie done now"..........lol
Anyways, we don't have much planned for the weekend other than going to the movies and hopefully out to have Mexican Food as well.
Until Next Time.......

I've been noticing people that have visited my blog from NC as close as High Point and Trinity and I would love to know who you are. I love knowing that people in the Triad area are looking at my blog. Oh who am I kidding I love knowing that people from everywhere are looking at my blog!
One more update......."THE TREE IS STILL UP".............lol

My Website
I have changed my graphics on my website to match my blog here. I have everything up, but the new logo and will figure that out tomorrow.
Also, I will be posting the picture of my Christmas tree that is still up and the prize that can be won for that contest once Scott goes to work tomorrow. I can't let him know I am doing this on my blog until he finally takes the tree down, then I will show it to him and we will have a good old laugh together.

BORED and a Contest
I have been so bored for the past week. We didn't go anywhere for New Year's Eve. We sat here on the sofa watching Top 100 Hard Rock Songs on VH1.
The only thing I have managed to do this week is to take my ornies off my tree. So now it's time to wait and see how long it takes my husband to take the tree down. That is always a joke between me and my friends and here is why.
The first year we moved here we had a small 6ft tree and it was way to small for our new house, so Scott went and got a huge 8ft tree. I was so excited and purchased a ton of new ornaments. Well Christmas came and went that was 2006. I took all the ornaments off and put them away except for the angel on top that I couldn't reach.
Well, January went by and the tree was still up. Then Feb., March, April, May and then June came and the freaking tree was still in the living room. I do have to admit that I was so ticked that I put eggs and ribbon on it for Easter and Scott didn't even notice them at all.
Needless to say that by June I was ready to rip every branch off the tree just to get it out of my way. Well our air unit messed up and Scott finally removed the tree. He said he didn't want the worker to think he was crazy with a Christmas tree with nothing on it still up.
So now on to Christmas 2007. This was the worst, he left the darn thing up for the entire year. I was so pissed I swore I was not going to put anything on the tree, but of course I did.
So now that brings us to Christmas 2008 and today is 1-3-09 and I can't wait to see how long it takes for him to remove the tree. I think I am actually going to have a contest to see what others guess and will offer a prize. I just came up with this while typing this so I will post a picture for the prize that can be won and a picture of our naked tree. All you have to do is post a comment with your guess date and I will keep everyone updated.
