Just somethings I had to do...

Somehow I had gotten myself signed up for everything that everyone else was signed up for from forums to Facebook. I am usually pretty easy to get a long with, but I will not let anyone and I do mean anyone treat me bad for any reason.

I have always said to everyone I know that if I do something you don't like or if you have anything to say about me, please come to me and tell me upfront to my face regardless of what it is, I can handle it much better than to hear it from somewhere else.

I've also, always said if I send you a private email, then respond to me and don't post it on net for all to see regardless if it ticks you off or not.

So anyways, last week something happened on one of the forums between me and the owner so I decided it was time I remove myself from that situation all together and not go to that forum any longer and today was think to myself that they were the only reason I joined Facebook.

So what did I do? Well I removed myself from there totally as well. I figure since that group was the only ones I had contact on Facebook with then it was time to go. There is no need to stay so they could see what is going on in my life, I mean after all I now have my blog for that.

With me removing myself from the above places I feel much more relaxed than I have in a long time and now it will free me up to read more blogs.

I know this post is just me rambling on and on, but I always feel better when I put it in writing.

Take Care,

  1. I just joined Face Book so that I could stay in touch with some ex co-workers. I'm not a huge fan. I'd rather be blogging.

  2. Oh, I very much dislike stuff like this happening. Sigh. But glad to hear your feeling more relaxed. All of this stuff should be fun and enjoyable. Chin up.♥

  3. Retha, sorry you had a problem with that. Isn't it liberating to cut some ties sometimes and vent about it. Quite nice I think. The rest of your day will go better. Have a good evening. Sherie

  4. Retha,

    Thank goodness for you!! :)

I have NO idea you could get them at Lowes and HD. I am SO GLAD you commented on my blog because I actually have to run to HD tomorrow morning.

    Thnk you so much

  5. Retha, Sorry to hear about Facebook. I am on there only because my family and a few friends are there. I have had similar issues with groups. Since I discovered blogging.... I tend to forget the others.

Take care and I will get the money in paypal for you. Thank you!

  6. Retha,
Bless your heart. I don't understand why people are mean, we have so much to be thankful for. Of course has you probably heard, one bad egg can ruin the cake, but anyway, I'm glad you're a blogger, and I'm looking forward to keeping in touch with you thru your creativity! Have a WONDERFUL weekend and HAPPY FIRST DAY OF SPRING---That should get a smile on your face.

Blessings from Linda @ Kindlelight blessings

  7. I know what you mean, I used to belong to those sites but have since deleted my account. BTW your blog is awesome and I have added you to my favorites.

  8. Retha, so sorry that you had a bad experience; people can be so cruel somethings. Keep blogging, Blogland is much nicer, I think! LOL

  9. I'm identifying with your posting. It's liberating to cut ties and simplify. L-O-V-E dropping by your blog. You're so creative and inspiring. You have a talent that out shines facebook chitter chatter. Your blog let's you shine. Have a great weekend.

  10. Yup...FaceBook = brain drain! :)

I use it to instant message a few faraway friends & advertise the blog shop, otherwise...yuck.
It literally sucks the time right outta your day!

I like to say it's one of the enemys "tools" to keep us tied up in useless endeavors instead of focused on the word!

Make sure you sign up for my giveaway, winning that would sure make you smile, right? :)

  11. Hey Retha,
I soooo know what you mean about certain forums....... Come on over to The Painted Daisy, we'll treatcha right over there.

  12. Retha,

Writing it down can be so liberating. Keep blogging.

  13. You have to do what's best for you.

I never say I'm sorry when I'm not.
I say it's unfortunate this has happened or you feel that way.
